Chandler Owen2/19/20225 5 5first world concern"First endorsement, there's probably nothing more 'sound' than ordering, then reviewing a watch winder for your automatic watch. Definitely a 'want' not a 'need' question. Having this disclaimer does not Get in the way because I wanted to share - I have a cat, coat, automatic watch, and novelty t-shirt "thing" that embarrassed my kids, in order. This is where the crying story started - wanted to wear an automatic watch It's really inconvenient to take it out of the cabinet and not take it with you when you want to watch it. You have to reset the time and date every time, which is actually very time-consuming for my specific watch model. Since I don't wear it every day, the automatic movement has no arm movement. , it needs to keep the time and date motivated. The easy fix is to wear it every day, but I prefer my Polar fitness tracker which is very cheap on my leisure days - especially when I'm running, exercising, or doing something outdoors Time. Since my husband also has an automatic watch, we bought this JQueen Watch Winder that fits four watches - which means we also have a slot to expand to - #Squad Goals. On higher-end watches, Clockwork (Volta, Orbita, Wolf, etc.) can cost upwards of $500, especially for a watch that fits 4. So this price point is much lower compared to others I've seen, and it's practical Looks good on the watch too. More importantly, it does a great job - it's quiet, keeps the watch wound and ready to wear, I don't need more. Here are some extra notes that I think are worth mentioning:- Dual power supply. The winder can run on electricity and batteries. The battery compartment (batteries not included) is hidden from view.- The clockwork motor on the watch has 3 direction settings (Clockwise, Counterclockwise, and Alternate) and Turns the setting multiple times a day. - The outside is highly lacquered wood (piano lacquer, obviously), very lovely. - The clear case is acrylic, not glass. - The inside of the case is not bright. - The watch is secured with an adjustable storage pad. Mine The wrist is small and one of my watches struggled to fit even with the smaller pads. - There are two knobs on the bottom, one to control each spin wheel individually, these feel cheap and hard to turn. If you want one Inexpensive watch winder, it can hold more than two watches and doesn't care if it's made of solid sapwood from some exotic region, that would do the trick. No price tag, it looks higher-end"

Oscar Roche2/18/20225 5 5Great, but needs non-factory additions............The motor is pretty smooth. Nice looking woodwork, fit and finish. Holds the watch securely and easily. Two 45mm watches can fit on one winding pod with room to spare. Really hard at $140 Confidence in value. Here's the problem! Even the most uncommon winding setting is still too robust. Two minutes of spinning and six minutes of rest still keep the mainspring in full winding tension. That's not what the mainspring is made for. It is designed to wind and unwind 24x7 over a long period of time Keeping the mainspring fully tensioned can damage your watch (even though it does have a clutch to prevent overwinding). Also, if the mainspring remains fully tensioned, many watches will run fast. Here's a suggestion. It is recommended that you plug this unit into a programmable wall timer. Set your timer to be off at least 8 hours a day. I set mine to be off 12 hours a day. If your watch has a power reserve indicator, you will easily be able to determine the recommended adjustment for this. Keep in mind that most automatic watches have a power reserve of at least 40 hours. When fully wound, they can easily do 8 [or more] hours of downtime, and their mainspring will appreciate the rest!

Diego Emerson2/16/20225 5 5Major modification to my old diplomat reelOrdered these watch winders to replace (nearly identical) diplomatic winders, these have been with me for over five years now and with half of the turntables out of service, I'm happy to see some major improvements to these units: - The inner color is a clear milky white instead of black, making my timepieces stand out. - The dial is in a more inclined position, so even bulky watches won't touch and scratch the acrylic window. This happened to my old winder and caused friction which would definitely cause the turntable mechanism to fail. - Each of the 3 turntables in the winder has its own control knob. The old winder had only two knobs, one controlled 2 dials, and the other controlled 1 dial. This provides greater operational flexibility. - The brackets in the turntables (2 brackets per turntable) are more separated so the watches don't touch each other while winding. This was an issue I had with an old winder and caused scratches on several of my watches. - Most importantly...the motor in my old winder had a belt drive with a cheap flat rubber belt. The first time the turntable failed, I found a blog post that suggested replacing the flat belt with an O-ring. When I turned on the motor to change the belt, I found several broken belts and a lot of rubber dust inside the motor gearbox. Cleaning the rubber dust and replacing the flat belts with o-rings got these units back to work and gave me a few extra years of service (until now). So when I received my new winder, the first thing I decided to do was replace the belt with an O-ring, to be safe from the start. But when I turned on the first motor...surprise! No belt! The new motor gears have no belts, everything is driven by plastic gear discs. This is a major improvement, using Japanese motors instead of Chinese ones. very different! So I immediately put my new winder to work and it ran perfectly silent. I'm so glad I decided to buy these for a lower price to replace my old winder!

I know automatic watches need to keep winding and running to make them last. I've been working on watch winders for a long time and don't want to spend hundreds of dollars A. The JQUEEN models seem to have more good reviews than bad reviews, but time will tell. One thing several reviewers have mentioned is that these winders will constantly keep your watch fully wound, even on the nine-hour rest setting. I took their advice and bought a $10 digital timer and set it to run for six hours. This seemed to work fine. I initially set it to four hours, but they stopped working. This Got the watch to wind up for 18 hours and I think it's a good balance. As far as sound goes, I can't hear anything unless I lift the top and put my ear to the case while it's running. The case made Well done, even though it has a glossy finish, it's not that super high gloss that many cheap products have. Now, for 4 stars. 1 I didn't have it long enough to justify its longevity (about 2 weeks at this point) 2 My wrist is about 7 1/2" in circumference. The metal bracelet watch is too big, even with the outer ring on the pillow. So every time the watch is rotated, the watch "flips" from side to side. This will hit the motor and gearbox and will kill them in a short amount of time. I took the rubber bands and wrapped them around the pillow holder. This not only adds size but also helps hold the watch and stops it from getting the Side "flipped" to the other side. This is my only real issue with the winder. Hey JQUEEN, please get some thicker outer rings for the stand."
